Dental Care for Wellington Patients, a Turnpike Ride Away
Areas We Serve · Rudnick Dentistry
Whether you live in Wellington year-round or arrive with the horses each winter, our Palm Beach Gardens office offers cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, Invisalign, and TMJ care, with a dentist who explains every option before you decide.
Rudnick Dentistry is a privately owned general dental practice at 4274 Northlake Blvd in Palm Beach Gardens, about 20 to 24 miles by car from Wellington. Most drivers take Southern Boulevard to Florida’s Turnpike north, then Northlake Boulevard east. Dr. Andrew Rudnick provides porcelain veneers, whitening, Invisalign, dental implants, TMJ care, cleanings, and urgent visits when the schedule allows.
Dental Care That Keeps Pace With Wellington’s Calendar
Then there’s the season. From early January through late March, the Winter Equestrian Festival fills the 500-acre show grounds at Wellington International, the venue long known as the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center. Sunday polo brings crowds to the International Polo Club Palm Beach on 120th Avenue South. Riders, trainers, grooms, and owners arrive for the winter circuit, and the village’s rhythm shifts with them.

Dental Advice for Wellington Residents
The equestrian calendar and seasonal travel can make timing and injury prevention especially relevant.
Ask about mouth protection
Riding and other activities with fall risk can injure teeth. Discuss a mouthguard that fits your bite and any crowns or other dental work.
Know the first steps after a fall
Rinse a cracked tooth gently with warm water and use a cold compress for swelling. Keep a knocked-out permanent tooth moist and seek dental care immediately.
Plan before the season gets busy
If a tooth has recurring pain or a restoration feels unstable, arrange an exam before your calendar fills. Keep routine brushing and daily cleaning between teeth consistent while traveling.

Getting Here From Wellington: Two Good Routes
Wellington covers a lot of ground, so your drive depends on where you start. From most neighborhoods, it’s about 20 to 24 miles and typically about 35 to 50 minutes, depending on traffic and time of day.
From central and north Wellington
Make your way to Southern Boulevard, often by way of Forest Hill Boulevard, and head east to Florida’s Turnpike. Go north to Exit 107, follow Jog Road a short distance to Northlake Boulevard, and turn east. After you cross Military Trail, our office at 4274 Northlake Blvd is on the right, on the south side of the road.
From south Wellington
From neighborhoods closer to Lake Worth Road, the Turnpike’s Lake Worth Road interchange is usually the nearer entrance; from there, follow the same route north to Exit 107 and Northlake Boulevard. The Turnpike is a toll road. To skip tolls, take Southern Boulevard or Okeechobee Boulevard east to I-95, go north to Exit 77, turn west on Northlake, and look for us on the left before Military Trail.
When you arrive
Check in at the front desk with a photo ID, your insurance card, and a list of your medications. If you split the year between Wellington and another home, bring the name and phone number of your other dentist so we can request your recent X-rays.
Care Wellington Patients Ask About
Porcelain veneers and smile makeovers. For chipped, worn, or uneven front teeth, e.max ceramic veneers can change shape, length, and shade, with minimal-prep or no-prep options for suitable candidates. A digital smile preview comes first, before any tooth is prepared.
Whitening ahead of the season’s big events. Zoom! in-office whitening lightens many stains in a single visit, and custom take-home trays help you keep the shade. We’ll tell you plainly if whitening alone can’t reach your goal.
Invisalign that travels with you. Removable clear aligners straighten teeth in planned stages. If you divide your year between Florida and another home, ask how the aligner schedule can be planned around your months here.
Dental implants planned in 3D. An implant replaces the root of a missing tooth as well as the visible crown. Dr. Rudnick plans each implant’s position on a 3D CBCT scan and uses a custom surgical guide on treatment day.
TMJ care for jaw pain and headaches. Clenching, a clicking joint, or waking with headaches deserves a careful look. A TMJ evaluation examines your joints, muscles, and bite, and care begins with conservative, reversible steps.
A chipped or knocked-out tooth. Accidents happen, at the barn or anywhere else. If an adult tooth is knocked out, pick it up by the crown rather than the root, keep it moist, and call us or seek care right away.
In Wellington for the Winter? Plan Your Dental Care Around the Season
If you spend the season in Wellington and the rest of the year elsewhere, a little planning keeps dental care from slipping between two homes.
Book your cleaning early in your stay, before show schedules, guests, and travel fill the calendar.
Ask your dentist up north to send recent X-rays and treatment notes, so Dr. Rudnick can review them before your visit.
If treatment will take more than one appointment, tell us your departure date. We’ll explain what can be completed before you leave and what can safely wait.
Pack your night guard, retainer, or aligners for the trip south, along with a current copy of your dental insurance card.

Questions From Wellington Patients
How long is the drive from Wellington to your office? Most of Wellington is about 20 to 24 miles from our office at 4274 Northlake Blvd in Palm Beach Gardens. The drive typically takes about 35 to 50 minutes, depending on traffic and time of day. A late-morning or early-afternoon appointment can help you avoid the heaviest commute on Southern Boulevard and the Turnpike. On Fridays we’re open from 9 to 2.
Can you see me if I only live in Wellington during the winter? Yes. We welcome seasonal residents. Let us know when you arrive and when you plan to head home, and ask your other dentist to send recent X-rays and records. That way Dr. Rudnick can review your history first and plan any treatment so it fits within your stay or is staged around your travel.
Is it worth the drive from Wellington for veneers or implants? That’s your decision, and comparing plans side by side helps. For veneers, digital smile imaging lets you preview the proposed changes before any tooth is prepared. For implants, Dr. Rudnick plans with a 3D CBCT scan and a surgical guide. Schedule a consultation, bring your questions, and decide with complete information.
What if I have a dental emergency during show season? Call 561-625-1991 as early in the day as you can and describe what happened. We set aside time for urgent problems and offer same-day visits when the schedule allows. If you have facial swelling that affects breathing or swallowing, or you’ve also hit your head, go to the nearest emergency room or call 911.
Do you treat jaw pain and headaches? Yes. Dr. Rudnick provides TMJ care as a general dentist with postgraduate training in bite and jaw function. An evaluation can include imaging, T-Scan bite analysis, and measurements of jaw movement and muscle activity. Treatment starts with conservative, reversible steps, such as a custom oral appliance, TENS for muscle relaxation, and self-care coaching, with follow-up visits to track progress.
How do you handle insurance and payment? Our team checks your benefits before your visit, files your claims, and puts your estimated cost in writing before treatment begins. We accept cash, checks, and major credit cards, and we offer financing through CareCredit and LendingClub, which can help with larger cosmetic or implant plans. See finance and insurance for details.
